Yesterdays commentary on the Joe Steffen-FreeRepublic.com story ended with a question. Why is no one asking questioning the identity of MD4BUSH? What to make of the odd freepers postings, his motivations, and his mysterious timing?
Today, fresh from a US District courts spanking in Gov Ehrlich vs. the Baltimore Sun. David Nitkin asks the same question-Who is MD4BUSH?
The Sun, still smarting from yesterdays loss-the court essentially ruling that Ehrlichs ban is not unconstitutional, should further investigate, and even more to the point-push Mike and Mike Busch/Miller to subpoena the postings. Jim Robinson, the owner of the web site says please But it wont happen because of what the Democrats are afraid to find; that maybe MD4Bush has close ties to the Democrats or OMalley, or Duncan.
The Sun could ask the question, who are these Democrats? What if the Democrats used "family values" tear jerking press conference to gain political advantage? Now thats a story. Will we ever see it in the Sun?
The Suns loss yesterday, however you may feel about Ehrlichs move, can be a positive thing. The Governors point was and is-report, not distort. (I sound Jesse Jackson.) Maybe the ban was a bad idea to go this long. After yesterdays decision, maybe the Governor will step back, having made his point.
Bu then again, why should anyone be forced to speak with someone they think is unfair? From the Judges decision-The Sun seeks a privileged status beyond that of the private citizen; that desire is not a cognizable basis for injunctive relief.
Look, the sun has some great writers and editors, and some not so great, an extremely biased editorial board, but most importantly, a declining circulation. Theres a reason. At the end of the day, the city that reads needs something worth reading-and the Baltimore Sun needs to rise to the occasion. Or the sun will surely set on those who refuse to see the light.
Good question. The story is fading Google News search lists 5 citation by date on MD4Bush. By the time anyone gets around to this, if ever, it will be "Old News".
It'll be on Page 22, 2 paragraphs, next year or something.
haha

He states ... "(I sound Jesse Jackson.) "
Mr.Franklin, you write Al Sharpton!

Excellent observation...I had the very same feeling while reading the piece...I had to go lay down.....:o)
Horrible!
It reads like a bad translation of Chinese.
And ... "I had the very same feeling while reading the piece...I had to go lay down.....:o)"
Thanks for the affirmation.
I had had one cup of "hot joe" prior to reading that thing and thought I was awake.
After the second cup, I re-read the article and assumed that I had either had a stroke during the night, or Mr.Franklin was writing in tongues. ;)
OH, THAT's GOOD!!! LOL!!!
After re-reading your post STILL ROTFLMAO!!!!!
I mean, where on earth is his Editor?
It's not like this is his own blog...
WBAL (Ostensibly a large radio station) should be ashamed of themselves.
What is life without some humor?
Thanks for the laughter. Like a smile, it's contagious. ;)
How true.
I envision Chip Franklin as being the teenage son of the station owner, and the old man standing there, grinning ear to ear, saying "that's my boy!" ;)
Boo! ROFL
This article is about as coherent as a troll post.
Chip Franklin is a TALK show host, not a professional writer. Why do Freepers want to "prove" to him that we are shallow and hurtful? He is an on-air voice, who has been given through the age of the internet, his own page on which to present ideas, polls, and links to articles. Each of the WBAL hosts has a page. None are controlled by editors.
He was (and still is) a stand-up comic until he started this morning show 5 years ago. His alliance with conservative issues and politicians seems to have evolved during these years as he observed and interviewed people of both stripes in this deep blue city.
Consider that he is still talking about MD4Bush. Is anyone else?
Lets try to keep him on our side. He could bring a lot of new and friendly eyes to FR.
Peace at any price type, are we?
The fact is the guy stinks as a writer and qiute frankly I could care less who's side he is on.
In fact, should he write Dimocrat prose, he may well turn some of them Republican. ;)
That's an interesting observation.
In fact, after two paragraphs, I checked out the poster. ;)
