Because Jesus said when passing the bread to his disciples, "This IS my body...this IS my blood," it is difficult to see how one can misunderstand the real presence of Christ in the elements of Holy Communion. Unless, of course, you, like Bill Clinton, don't know what the meaning of "is" is.

Weak argument.

Any of the disciples could have heard what Jesus said, looked at the bread, and KNOWN that they were not ACTUALLY taking bites out of Jesus Himself.

It was clearly a Holy symbolic spiritual representation.

I guess you belief Christ Himself actually had to go through the experience of being flushed down a toilet at the moment this show was filmed?

Are you kidding?

Your argument is very weak:

Any of the disciples could have heard what Jesus said, looked at the bread, and KNOWN that they were not ACTUALLY taking bites out of Jesus Himself.

And they could have just looked at Jesus and since he was not a man that had any outstanding features, as mentioned in Isaiah, they knew he was not the son of God. I mean, wouldn't the son of God be glorious looking? Yet they believed him to be the Son of God.
