Pardon my language but as a Roman Catholic I am getting damned sick and tired of people with no respect for themselves or anything else making fun of my religion. I for one am going to begin writing letters, sending emails and making phone calls to these despicable people till I am blue in the face.
This needs to STOP and STOP NOW. We grew up in a town with all different religions and while they were not our beliefs...we totally respeced those who were part of that congregation. They in turn respected our religious holidays and our holy days.
As I said...I am SICK AND TIRED of it and I want it stopped and stopped now. I don't want nor care about an apology. That would mean nothing coming from this source because they did it knowingly and with intent to ridicule and therefore, their apology would mean about as much as the amount of class and manners they posess which is NOTHING.
What was done was done on purpose. So, they can keep their aplogy. I want it stopped and stopped from happening again in the future. Everytime someone says something about another race or religion its all over the media and everyone is screaming (and rightly so).
However, there is this business out there that seems to think it is OK to attack and make fun of our Roman Catholic religion and us Catholics. I'm here to tell you it is NOT OK to bash us our faith. It is NOT OK to blatantly make fun of or use our Holy Eucharist as a damned joke on some lousey, TV program who are doing nothing but looking for ratings. Well, to them I say: "Go get your ratings elsewhere and stay out of our most holy and personal religion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is our faith and our religion and we should all join together with Mr. Donohue and DEMAND, yes DEMAND this attack and ridicule of our Roman Catholic Faith cease and desist IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

Be careful Catholics, lest you appear to be making your host into an idol (capitalizing it like it is God etc.)
If you freak out too much about a cracker, some will begin to wonder just what you worship.
Sorry, but there is no miraculous transformation at all that occurs during Communion.
Turnabout is fair play!
.
ROFL, it's a piece of bread. What is the deal?
I once watched that show for about 4 minutes. Then I realized it would be more entertaining to stare at a blank screen.

Protestants are called that because they were protesting
various doctrines and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church.
Therefore all of the Orthodox faiths are not Protestant, since
Catholic and Orthodox began as the same church and split
from each other long before the Protestant Reformation.
Catholics have Seven Sacraments:
Baptism
Eucharist
Reconciliation
Confirmation
Marriage
Holy Orders
Anointing of the Sick
Protestants only two:
Baptism
Communion
Additionally the major protestant differences are;
Lutherans practice Confession but not as a Sacrament
Presbyterians believe in Predestination
Baptists refuse baptism to infants and small children.
Methodists believe in free will and prefer baptism for infants

NBC Show Insults the Holy Eucharist:
Apology Demanded
According to the Catholic League, on February 22, NBC aired an unspeakably blasphemous episode of the sitcom "Committed," in which two non-Catholics accidentally receive the Holy Eucharist at a funeral Mass. Uncertain of what to do, they attempt to slip it into a priests pocket and even placing the Host on a tray of cheese and crackers.
A priest, apparently unable to tell the difference between the Blessed Sacrament and a cracker, is unwilling to eat it, since it is the last one on the tray. Finally, he calls out, "What the hell!" and eats it.
In one particularly offensive scene, they accidentally flush what they think is the Sacred Host down the toilet.
Many Catholics feel that this episode makes a mockery of what Catholics hold sacred and have already raised their voices in protest. America Needs Fatima Director Robert Ritchie stated: "In my opinion, NBC has aired a direct attack on the Catholic Church by mocking and degrading the Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. You and I must demand an official and unqualified apology from NBC for this most offensive show."
And this is exactly what the TFP web site intends to do. It is calling on all who love Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist to speak out today in defense of this Most Sacred part of the Catholic faith.
However, just speaking out is not enough. Reparation must also be made to Our Lord, since He was the target of the show's mockery. Thus, the TFP web site is also asking faithful Catholics to pledge one hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in reparation for this blasphemy.
Turn your holy anger into effective action right now. Demand an apology from NBC and pledge an hour of adoration in reparation for this blasphemy. Do it now.
Turning the other cheek does not include being indifferent to such a blatant attack on God in the Holy Eucharist.
Be a part of this campaign today!
Here is what you can do!
