What you talkin???
We picked up that cooler a half hour earlier at the 7-11 for four bucks. After that, Bob made a right on a one way that was the wrong way... and before we could get the beemer headed the right way on that one way there were the red and blues to raise the dead. We talked and talked, and bein's we were turistas, they let us go. Bob turned the beemer around and made a left back onto the street we came from. All seemed well. Except for all those dang headlights. Yep. Heck, we'd been on a one way street to begin with. Well, Denver's finest asked who here can drive, and that was me. They didn't jail nobody, and after I gave them the key to the hotel, they escorted us back there. No harm, no foul. Well, then someone, EAKER, said: "Hey! Are Y'all hungry???"
freeway... shoe... don't you remember anything?

Thanks for the ping! We don't have tickets for the race but we plan to go out this weekend and have some fun "cruising" the merchandise trailers. We did that last year and had a great time :).
It was hot as hell last year we made it to about lap 120 and split Did you guys think it was hot?
Yahoo show points and rank next to "my" team name. Still messed up on the league section. Something about all those "8s" sure has me wondering...:)
There are 8 mountain passes between you and me. Do you think I'm safe from y'all???
Yes, it sure was hot, although we got out there about 9:00 a.m. the morning of the race and were back home just as the race was starting, so we missed the worst of the heat. We had friends out there for the race who said a lot of people ended up with heat prostration. I suspect that might be one reason they moved the race to Feb., although they'll be lucky to just miss the rain we've been having! Looks like it should be clear till Sunday night, last I checked.
Why yes.
Absolutely.
no.
Thanks for the ping.
I'm going to try and get tickets for the first Phoenix race.
I'm going to take my daughter and this will be our first live race.
Got my picks in (Thunder Bud is big on Roush all the way this weekend---I will not use up the Hendrix boys so early this year!). I'll be dropping in & out all weekend long.
Keep up the great postings with all the good stuff and fo-tos.
Congrats to us Alley Gators! 3rd Quarter Winners by a sweep tonite! Qualified for the final-four at the end of the year in May.
Thank you for running this weeks thread!
You're welcome.
Note to all, header pics will be back, seems Websamba is down a lot lately.
Thank you.
It's always a fun day to look forward to. What could be better than stock car racing and friendship.
We have a great bunch here with the exception of a few newbies recently which made it necessary to add rules of conduct.
I just read that Jr will have new "E" sunglasses in his merchandise hauler. I wish they had shown pictures, sounds interesting. Probably expensive.
8-)
That should be great fun.
The first race is always so much more than you would expect.
The sound of the cars is awesome and I think you get a better feel for the speed more than the TV shows.
Practice 1
4:20 p.m. ET
Practice 2
7 p.m. ET
Final Practice is shown on Speed Channel at 7pm ET with a Nascar Live show on just before that at 6pm.
