When I invited my psych class to view the program tonight, one student stayed after.

She had grown up on the farm ajacent to the farm where a cattle mutilation had occurred with--I believe a large craft--huge cigar shape, I think. I forget. Anyway--there were 8 cattle involved--typical organ removal and NO--ABSOLUTELY NO blood left in the cattle nor on the ground. None.

AND NO TRACKS of any kind other than the cattle to the site where they were abducted.

How would you explain that?

Well, you can't explain it, of course, but you can easily disbelieve it, since both possibilities are completely open due to the udder (sorry) lack of evidence.

That's the problem with all of this. Humans have developed more than one mechanism for getting at the truth. Science and the adversary process of factfinding (trials in court) are a couple. I don't claim to be an expert in the first. The first works well with repeatable stuff. The second works better for unique events (e.g. a crime). They can work together, too. But put yourself in my shoes for a minute.

Pretend this cattle mutilation is a crime and you were accused of doing it. Wouldn't you want to see photographs? Have the bodies examined, dissected, blood volume obtained, organs weighed, etc. by a disinterested medical expert? Wouldn't you want the accounts of witnesses corroborated if possible? Shouldn't their credibility be tested by cross-examination as to interest, bias, ability to correctly observe and remember?

These are just a few examples of the kinds of things people do every day to determine what really happened in crimes. Is there even ONE cattle mutilation that would stand up to that kind of scrutiny? I've heard about this for years and years. Surely at some point someone has the opportunity to work up some sort of model case on even one of them, since they are not all that uncommon?

I would ask lots of questions. For example:

  1. How many people saw the UFO allegedly responsible for the mutilations? (Note that I'm granting, for the sake of the argument, that some mutilations occurred, although I'd probably press on that issue, too, if I were actually talking to the person reporting the story.)
  2. If there were witnesses to the UFO itself, were they drunk or otherwise intoxicated at the time?
  3. At what stage in the life cycle of the cattle mutilation story did this particular incident occur? That is, were cattle mutilations 'all the rage' at the time, were they all over the news and being talked about? (This bears on the issue of whether a few local guys and/or gals might have been motivated to mutilate some cattle in order to get their jollies and a little local press attention.)

That's just a small sampling of the questions I would ask.

Sometimes people on the ground see us but most of the time they see nothing at all. Anyway, we are shape shifters and can read peoples' minds albeit too cleverly for anyone to know. Ooops! I just let the cow run out the barn door. Please forgive . . . ZZZZAAAPPPP ! . . . . sound of smoke drifting upwards and crackling of burning bones.

Why would an alien who evidently does not wish to be discovered leave an animal carcass (it has mutilated) around to be found?

Why would an alien take time to preform some weird operation on an animal(out in the open) when it would be simpler and less open to discovery to do it on-board its ship?

If they are so interested in studying cattle why don't they just swipe a few and breed their own?

Why do aliens have such a fixation with anal probing humans?

Why is Al Franken such a turd?

Why are there no answers to the questions that truly matter???? WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
