Good move! Antagonize another country and do it in the most injurious way to their leader's pride. Who is Bush impressing with this act? American don't really care about Russia. Is this a desperate attempt to win the favor of Europeans. Neocons put him up to it? I'd like to get a better handle on it.

What? If Russia continues to side the Syria, Iran and others it is very bad news for Americans and the World.

Sounds like you need to get a better handle on yourself. Americans may not care directly about the Russians. However, they do care about Global Terror. It looks like Bush and Putin are both in sync on that one and that is important.

So lets get somethings straight:

The MSM (lefties as I recall) makes a lot of noise about Putin. The Neocons(artists) who love COMMUNIST slave labor China make a lot of noise about Putin. So Bush speaks up to embarres him. So far this fall out has cost us the Murmansk oil deal, that oil is now flowing to Japan, S.Korea and China. Now, if Putin turns foe, that will cost us most of the easy ride in central asia just as Pakistan is labelled as the most American hating nation in the world (with Nukes too) and Iran is getting militant (not that it isn't to some degree always). How are we supposed to continue in Afghanistan with all this?

I hope the watch word here is not Hubris or we'll have problems.

HELLO, who antoganized whom first. Pride goeth before the fall. Putin has been the world over crawling into bed with the worst of the world's dictators, and there was only one reason, that was to send a signal to US.

- Coming on the heels of Russia's announcement that they will continue to ship nuclear fuel to Iran, I think that Bush let Putin off light for a decision which may eventually cost millions of Americans their lives in Iran's undoubted plans to, in their words, "turn the United States into a sea of fire". For speaking up in defense of those millions and in answer to your question, President Bush sure impressed me.
You now have a principled President instead of a cowardly Commander. Deal with it.

Bush didn't do that, at least not from what I read in the article...it's a fact that Putin is straying from the principles we expect in a free and democratic country, and all Dubyuh did was point out the principles we all hold dear. If Putin ain't upholding those principles, he's got no one to blame but himself.
