My roommate at Ft. Bragg was a Polish citizen. He was a good man an a great paratrooper.

I know what you mean.

One of my roomies at Bragg was Vietnamese. We helped him study for his citizenship test. Then, when he swore the Oath, there was a whole platoon of grunts in class A's watching him & celebrating with him.

Those that say it will open the door to terrorism, I have to disagree to the extent you have a million illegals coming over the borders each day..an open door for terrorism with no background checks.

As I read the forums of those in other countries wanting to assist in the war on terror, but because of their country's politics cannot do so, why not have recruiting outside this country. Are we not told this is a global war on terror?

When I hear Col North (Tony Snow Show/Gibson 2.24.05) say we cannot go anywhere else at this time; that leads me to believe we are vulnerable to those "terrorist" countries who could seize the opportunity knowing full well we can only offer up "softball" dialog and not force.
