Looking for the perfect complement to your limited-edition Neon Genesis Evangelion iPod? Sanrio has the answer - a limited-edition Hello Kitty iPod mini! Available only in pink, the 6GB iPod mini comes with a Hello Kitty iBe@r stand, case and set of keyrings. Only 2000 will be available so don't delay!

Sanrio will begin accepting orders for the "iPod mini & Hello Kitty BE@RBRICK Set" from 25 February with shipping to begin in mid April. The set contains a 6GB iPod mini engraved with the Hello Kitty logo and a Hello Kitty-style "BE@RBRICK" stand. Production will be limited to 2000 units.

The set will be sold at Sanrio's online shop and selected mobile phone retailers. Orders will also be accepted via ballot in the May edition of Sanrio's online newsletter, the "Ichigo Shinbun" (released 10 April). The set is priced at 39,900 yen.

Forget Hello Kitty--NEON GENESIS EVANGELION EDITION?

Nothing is sacred anymore. Well, not that Evangelion was sacred to begin with, but...

Production will be limited to 2000 units.

500 icons times 2000 units equals one million sales.

Smooth move.

I would not give someone of the "hello Kitty" age range a $380 toy like that. Cash in the trash.

Local taxes most likely. You can buy some electronics cheaper Stateside than in Japan. Local taxes are a killer - but than they have (fill in the blank)

If I'm going to go Japanese, I'd rather have a Godzilla limited edition iPod.
