A point I just made on another thread:  What if Canada gets an incoming missile that's simply off-course, one which was intended to hit a northern U.S. city but went astray? They're then screwed—sure, screwed by accident, but that's screwed nonetheless. A shield could help them avoid such targetting errors.

They don't look at it that way. It just like the mindset that some people have, "Why should I invest on anything when the US Government is going to bail me out when needed?". Sad...
