I did not think it was that big of a deal since it seemed like a very human emotion. I can't stand Dean's politics, but he is more real in terms of personality than many of the other pols.
Yes, I am with you. I think he had lost at that point, he is too impolitic, really un-PC from a leftist perspective to win much nationally in elections. However, in the cheerleading, the listing of the states, and the final scream he did show a lot of personality, and (to me) seemed to be having a lot of fun. Perhaps it was unwise, but ultimately I don't see a thing wrong with it. And I suspect that more people know his name than ever would have had the scream not occurred. I think it probably won him the DNC Chair job.
