Email from a friend who is a tax-preparer:
"Just had a new client in - Hmong family with traditional middle and last names - 4 kids - first three kids first names were - Reagan, Ronald and Nancy! must be good republicans"
***Ping***
Was that bad?
All the Vietnamese I've met in California are staunch Republicans, id bet its the same with Hmong. Seen socialism up close and didnt like it much.
What, no Ron Jr.? :)
"Prescott." LOL....Wonder if the fourth one is simply named "W".
My wife and I are having a Russian doctor come to live with us in the fall. She has no intent to be a Russian American, she plans on becoming an "AMERICAN" and she writes it in all caps that way.
Yep, the idea that immigrants are dems is untrue of many immigrant groups. Even many of those who haven't seen communism up close came here legally to pursue the American dream and realize that hard work, personal responsiblity, and family are key to that dream.
They could do the jobs no one else wants to do like clean by driveway with a toothbrush.
Plus they saw the Democrat Congress undercut their country in 1975.
Only if they were able to live in your neighborhood.
Did you have a point?
So are you against all immigration, even when it is done legally? (I'm assuming since the family in the story was paying taxes, they aren't illegal.)
Screw the Euro-peons and Mehicans we should let more Asians into the country, they are intelligent, most of them are anti-commie, and they rate education high on the list. We have enough leeches in this country who would rather go skate boarding than do their homework.
Why would I want that? What I do want is to bring them in at $1000 to $3,0000 per head.
After all who has standing to object? If your ancestors were immigrants then you have no right to prevent any immigrants who wish to come to the US and partake of US welfare.
Thanks for the ping, M2C. What a nice story. Very touching, actually.
