That's why I don't understand all the stays. Why can't a decision be made by the judge? Why the delay? And for what? From what you say, there's evidence that the husband doesn't have her best interests at heart.
You got me. Like I said, it's astounding. This judge (who is the one who hears the vast majority of all proceedings in this case) makes rulings that seem to fly in the face of both common sense and human decency.
As for the stay - because of his behavior in the past and the guaranteed media circus that will ensue following the removal of the tube, I can't help but suspect that this 48-hour stay is nothing but self-serving on his part. Less attention over the weekend, less likely for there to be any emergency proceedings by the FL legislature or executive branch, better chance that he can get out of Dodge before the tube is removed, hide out at home for a couple days maybe? I know I would if I were him.
But really, when it comes right down to it, who knows. I gave up trying to understand this judge's reasoning long ago - it't truly baffling. Maybe it's finally the start of a miracle. Surely this case is long overdue for one.
