Cut the airlines--no more brakes. Brakes aren't high tech.
No kidding.. and if you're driving a bomb off to your final reward.. you don't care about brakes..
Loss of air pressure will activate the brakes. Air pressure is needed to release the brakes.
Could something like this be overcome? Sure. But not quite so simply.
