What would you pay a dishwasher.

Did you miss my reply? I think it was Post 97.

I don't hire dishwashers. But if I did I imagine I would pay the market rate. Here in Wyoming I doubt that dishwashers make much over minimum wage to start.

We have very few illegals here and amazingly enough Americans do the jobs that Americans supposedly won't do. Our hotels get cleaned, our dishes get washed, our Walmart's floors get swept, and our dominant sector, agriculture, has plenty of well-respected and decently but not extravagantly paid Americans who do the work.

Now, answer a question for me. Do you think that if the President's Guestworker Shamnesty goes into effect, that an employer, who has unlimited access to the 6 billion desperate people in the world who are poorer then Mexicans, will ever advertise a dish washing job at a wage HIGHER than minimum?
