[The president's critics believe in] Cutting off illegal immigration [which] would require thousands more men on the border, routine sweeps in every city, roadblocks, roundups, massive deportations....

The president has a better solution. He proposes that we face up to the reality of our growing demand for labor, skilled and unskilled....

...In short, the "solution" the President advocates is: SURRENDER.

Again -- would we and the GOP ever accept this "solution" from a Democratic President??

Grab some popcorn and enjoy delusional rants of "rationale" from the usual FROBL suspects throughout this thread.

You probably already know this but lurking in the background of all this open border idiocy is the FTAA and if people on this and other forums were smart we should be researching the ramificiations of this new agreement on our borders, legal rights, Constitution, etc. This may be the "big enchilada" Fox and his co-horts across Latin and S. American have been pushing for during the last few years.

Dig enough and I think we'll find there's a whole lot of upset people in Europe furious at their own gov'ts. for signing away their individual country's sovereignty in favor of the EU's own governing apparatus. They've been working on a new EU constitution for a while and thanks to the standard news blackout we have on such issues (MJ, Martha, etc. are far more important) there's very little info available on the new format for Europe. What happens over there will soon be our battle as business interests and their political whores seek to do the same in this hemisphere.

And again, the first post you make is predicated on the false term "FROBL."

Why don't you just be honest and simply point out that nayone who does not join the Malkin-Tancredo "Amen Corner" is who you mean by "FROBL"? Can you muster enough honesty to do that? Or must you lie in order to perpetuate the unacceptable status quo?

The answer is a resounding NO, of course.

....nor would many on the BOT plantation be accepting of the numerous other "compassionate" / big spending / big gov't "solutions" of this current (veto-less wonder) President had they come from a Rat Prez. In fact, most would (justifiably) be calling many of his actions (and non-actions) "treasonous."

Surrender, essentially, yep.

It is funny to imagine, say, Hillary adopting a similar attitude. Imagine the intense frothing from all nooks and crannies on FR. *LOL*
