Pop legend Cher has jokingly branded chart rivals Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez "hoes".
The 57-year-old star, told an audience of 20 000 fans gathered at one of her farewell shows at the North Shore stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, last weekend that she would never be replaced by the young stars after revealing plans to quit part of her 30-year pop career.
She said: "I'm not going to give up show business but I'm going to give up touring because, you know, there are all of these young girls coming out like Britney and J.Lo."
According to reports, the gathered crowd booed at the mention of the other stars before the star quickly quipped: "I know - they are hoes, aren't they?"
But representatives for the two chart stars were quick to dismiss the
comments.
A representative for the pair hit back at the statement claiming that the Believe singer had no knowledge of the stars to pass such a judgment.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "For someone who has had their fair share of bad press, it is surprising she would comment on two women she hardly knows."
The legendary singer, who is on the final leg of her three-year Living Proof farewell tour, later joked that she had no choice but to force herself to quit touring because her body wouldn't be able to take the demands of live shows if she carried on as long as her fans wanted.
She added: "My boobs would be down to my kneecaps and I would be toothless. So I don't think it is really a good idea to keep touring."
Meow.
When she was young she was pretty hot despite her nose. Now that she is in the geriatric stage she shouldn't throw stones.
OK, I'll give you Moonstruck. Great movie. But it came rather late in Cher's career. Let's see what the hoes' do in the same time-line. Fair enough?

Saw Cher this past December...took my mom to the show. It was hilarious...Cher played a total of 10 songs and made it appear to be 2 hrs long with her banter,film work,and dancers.
She gave a great monolouge and said about Britney and Christina and J-Lo "Let's show these little bitchez how its done"

Actually, Cher's always been honest about her age-she has always maintained that she was born in May of 1946. However, here's a list of a few celebrities (two of whom I am a fan of) whose birthdates have "changed" over the years:
Meat Loaf - (1947 to 1951)
Whoppi Goldberg (1949 to 1955)
Ronnie James Dio (1940 to 1942 to 1949)-(and I love Dio)
At least Britney's a Republican. And has a great behind.
Agree about her figure. I can't decide on her face tho. Sometimes she looks great then at others, not so good.

She has a better voice and wow! I just llooovvvveee her costumes--Even the nearly nekkid ones look better on her than they do on others.
As I recall she did this on a Naval Ship with all the crew looking on. Her son played in the band and was in the background with Cher out front. Nice Cher. I don't care how hip you think you are or how hip you think your kids ae but...you are their mother first and I don't know ANYONE who would want to see their mother acting like this much less with a bunch of sailors cheering. Disgusting and she's calling other people names?

No telling who or what she has been with. Now that I think about it, I think she is married anyway.
I will say if I were forced to choose between Cher, J-Lo or Britney, it would definitely be Spears.
When she made Blackwell's Worst Dressed list he described her as a "bleached bag of bones in a sequenced slingshot" :)
