This just in....Elvis is dead.

Come on! They should have predicted a backlash.

These liberal prof types get so wrapped up in reliving radical youth that they lose all able logic.

They get so excited...."ooo, it's the new taboo....let's have him speak here...then we can go to the Dean's house and have drugfest and orgy".

Somewhere in the process...the forget to look at possible outcomes.

Next thing they know....they are exposed for the idiot liberals they are, fired for humiliating the school, brought up on drug charges, and then they have pictures of them involved in some strange act with a goat posted on the internet.

We've seen it a 100 times.

There is a thread on here this very day saying that out of state applications to UC are down 19 percent, costing the state 15 million dollars next year.

I'm not particularly riled up about Churchill - he's a buffoon and seems to be getting his just deserts.

However this idea of "misstated or falsified ethnicity" reminds me of an incentive for such misstatement which existed in Wisconsin's civil service employment back in the 1980's.

In those days there was a cumbersome process of taking a standardized exam for a group of positions in the classified civil service. You submitted an application by filling in the boxes on a standard computer scanned form ("#2 pencil only, marks outside the box...", etc.)  The application to take the test asked for ethnicity. Then you received a scheduled examination ticket in the mail, and sat for the examination a few weeks later. The results of the examination would be tabulated several weeks after the examination and an exam score mailed to you. Interviews for job opportunities were give for the 5 highest scores on the test, plus the two highest scoring minority candidates and the two highest scorers when evaluated on a combination of raw score and veteran's preference points.

It became known that if you applied for a subsequent test (say, another job category) in the time between the administration of the test and the scoring/interview selection for the prior opening - any changes you made in the application materials would override those stored when you applied for the prior test. In other words, after taking the test you could apply for some job, any job, even a job you were not interested in, but change your race from Caucasian to "black" and when the prior job's score was calculated, you had a better chance at an interview for that first position.

I have the feeling this was widespread in Wisconsin civil service in the 80's. I have no idea if they have corrected this flaw in the present system. Perhaps they have eliminated the chance to misstate ethnicity, but I'm sure they have not removed the incentive.

"We all agree freedom of speech should be protected, but not at the expense of supporting fraud and misrepresentation. In this regard, I hope Mr. Churchill will not be given the opportunity to speak under the auspices of the University of Hawaii." ""

I like this guy!!! (Senate Minority Leader Fred Hemmings )

"The only thing I can do is to pursue a different slogan ... U.S. out of America, U.S. off the planet, U.S. out of our lives, U.S. into the dustbin of history."

Here's my slogan: Ward Churchill out of the U.S., Ward Churchill off the planet, Ward Churchill out of our lives, Ward Churchill into the refuse heap of irrelevance.

"When asked by Hawaii Reporter in a Feb. 21, 2005, press conference if he is American Indian, Churchill became enraged by the question, said it was irrelevant and would not answer. When pressed by Hawaii Reporter and other media present on the American Indian issue, Churchill called the question "racist," and asked if President George W. Bush should have to confirm he is white. When KITV Reporter Denby Fawcett said to Churchill, "We'll take that as a 'no,'" Churchill lunged at Fawcett shouting "What did you say?" Fawcett said since he would not answer "yes" and confirm his heritage, he must not be American Indian. In a fury, Churchill stormed away from reporters, ending the press conference. "

That's funny.

The Oneida Indian Nation issued a statement about Churchill: ''It's disturbing that anyone would use such hateful speech, and do so while claiming to be an American Indian when there is significant evidence that he is not. Professor Churchill caused many in the media to falsely believe an American Indian scholar could besmirch the lives of those who died on 9/11. Because of this, he owes every American Indian an apology."

A fact probably unknown to Churchill is that American Indians are among the most patriotic people in the country. No ethnic group has a higher percentage of military veterans.

They also don't care to have phony white trash speaking for them inasmuch as they are perfectly capable of speaking for themselves.

Not only UH but the whole damn state is left wing. I've lived here for 35 years and just now are some Republicans getting a foothold. Check out the voting records of the Senators and Congressmen from Hawaii and you will find they vote against everything our President wants passed. Everything!! Our politicians here tear me between disgust and shame. We do have a Republican Governor now though and she is really good. (Linda Lingle). There is hope for the future. Hey REPUBLICANS, come move to Hawaii, let's bring this state back into the Union.

Wonderful article!

The author noted Churchill's violent nature:

"Churchill lunged at Fawcett shouting "What did you say?""

Churchill can get a LOT meaner. You will all see soon.

He is a vicious, evil, violent, sociopathic terrorist. You don't know the half of it.

I'm coming! I left 30 years ago, and I'll be back before the year is out. Me, my wife and daughter will add 3 Republican votes to what once was a strong Republican state, and hopefull will be again.

As an aside, Neil Abercrombie was a classmate of mine at UH back in the 60's, and I'm proud to say he doesn't seem to have changed much at all in the last 30 years.

One would hope University of Hawaii would NOT have to be blugeoned into standing up for acedemic honesty.. Evidently not so.. UH must be a propaganda outlet like UC also..

So much for that.. strike UH and UC off the map.. God knows what other additional malfeasance goes on at both institutions.

Listen, almost ALL Universities have been subverted. It is going to be a real job to pry these crapweasels out of their positions of privilege.

But, it is a job that is going to have to be done.

Support for the American Council of Trustees and Alumni is a good place to start.

Also, you can support David Horowitz's initiative on Academic Freedom and intellectual diversity.

You can try to get his Academic Bill of rights adopted at the University level, or if that fails, get it adopted by your state legislature.

"mighty engine of profit"

Speaking of profit....this guy is making 94 grand a year as a "professor" and he doesn't even have a doctorate degree. If he's so opposed to capitalism, he can give up his salary for starters and make what teachers make in third world countries, since his aspiration is to live in one.

What is so digusting about churchill and his kind is that they bask in and enjoy everything this country has to offer while tearing it apart and acting like some sacrificial martyr. He is sickening puke.
