My wife and I are fighting over who gets to stay home once we have kids. We both make pretty much the same salary. so we'd be in the same place, financially.
Personally, I'd love to stay home with the kids. It seems like a much more valuable use of my time than working as a lawyer.
Good for you!
Theres nothing wrong with a man staying home and "raising the children. If women can go into the workplace and do what was considered a "man's job" just as well as the man, then a man can stay home.

Dude. see my post (#37)
When my wife and I finished grad school we were making roughly the same money. I worked for a public railway and she was in finance. After 10 years and two kids, it became clear that her career had a serious upside while mine did not.
I decided to stay home, we had another child (feminized ? NOT!), and now she is making multiples more than I ever did.
I think anyone who loves his kids and his wife would agree that I made the right decision. What was I supposed to do ? Force her to quit her job, so I could work at a fraction of her salary ? I think not.
Win, Win, I would say. Conservatives better get used to the idea of Stay at Home Dads, it is the wave of the future.
