I don't know how to type the umlaut in this system, but obviously there is a way.Windows - Alt Key Numeric Codes (courtesy of freeper kayak)
Example: To input the umlaut o (ö) (0246), hold down the ALT key, type 0246 on the numeric keypad, then release the ALT key.
