As permanently disabled individual who has accepted God’s will for my life, I wish I had a nickel for every time a person has incorrectly interpreted FOR me as to what my abilities are and what they cannot possibly be. A nickel for every ignorant, uneducated remark based on one thing, Fear. Folks are just terrified at the site of a relatively young person with such a fate. That is what so much of this “pull the feeding tube” talk is about. Fear.
Not just fear for that this could happen to them. But that they might be “stuck” taking care of such a one. We can forgive them their humanity.
God and I alone can decide when the jig is up. This judge apparently confuses himself with God. He is making a decision based on his own fears, not on the law.
All evidence introduced in previous trials as to Terri’s wishes is inadmissible as hearsay.
Pray for Terri AND the Judge.
