I like this rant!!!
I have asked that question myself many times. The Insurance Company NOR the Jury certainly didn't award that 1.7 million for Schiavo to lavish on himself and use a part to get to KILL his wife. He's a LIAR. He received those funds on a LIE. In fact a series of lies. He's a FRAUD and he has perpetrated a FRAUD on the court!! I wasn't aware that Insurance Companies condoned this kind of action.

I guess they changed the poll, but kept the same link. When I posted it, it was the Terri poll.
That and I guess just not being bothered to listen to the facts. It makes me sick tho that people think someone, anyone, should be STARVED and DEHYDRATED to death!! It's SHOCKING to me. It's not humane for a dog or cat, I know, I have worked in animal rescue and was our local SPCA President and a cruelty inspector in my small city. We SEIZED animals for no shelter, food or water.? But it is okay for a human being? What horsechit!!
Apparently, they don't hold their government accountable. While there, I tried to on different issues -- none were life and death. It is very difficult; the Pinellas county legal infrastructure is stubbornly and sickeningly unjust.
But I think the disregard for injustice is reaching critical mass and will crack if given the right catalyst. This may be it, or the start of it.
But ultimately, this is about saving an innocent life, not about straightening out a bunch of wild eyed, arrogant lawyers, judges and cops.
I just happened to hear on CourtTV when a Savannah Guthrie stated during the newsbreak that Terri is in a vegetative state. But at least they had Terri's sister comment on Michael not remembering her "wish to die" until after he got the money.

I keep saying that too. How can people be convicted and sent to prison for starving animals, yet some are pulling this same thing off with people?
Horrifying the depths we've fallen to.

Michael Schiavo will have to answer to the Good Lord for his neglect and abuse of Terri...cause Terri sure ain't finding justice from our court system!
You know, just reading this about the g-tube. It is no different than the peritoneal dialysis tube that our oldest daighter had (before she switched back to hem). It was inserted in her tummy and had a cap on the end taped up and curled up till next "oil exchange" (as she called it)
In addition, he surely wasn't awarded that money to pay a lawyer to help him murder her.
