Pence is a nice guy and from my home state, and I'd love to see a conservative in the White House for a change, but Pence for President? The guy doesn't have a whole lot of name recognition and I doubt the GOP is going to back a guy that's rocking the boat--as he's doing here with No Child Left Behind.
You are right, the establishment is not going to support Pence, but at the same time Pence is so well respected and well loved, that the establishment is not going to work against Pence either. Rod Martin who is the founder and president of Vanguard PAC told me that the time is right to lift up Mike Pence into national spotlight. He is deep in the Bush camp, but he told us that he would never be working against us. Also, American Conservative Union, Christian Coalition and various other pro-life organizations love Mike Pence and want to see him as our next president. I think it will take the American people and Jesus Christ to elect this man, but that is who should be electing our men to begin with, not Washington D.C. or the Republican Establishment. The timing is right and Pence has found favor in the eyes of everyone, even hard left liberals like Lou Dobbs. We must get his name out there!!!!!!
Pence's name recognition is expanding day by day. This is the time to get a true Christian Conservative statesman in office and if we don't come together now then it will always be politics as usual. We need a true outsider like Reagan who the American people can get behind not just the establishment. Evangelicals are not going to vote for anybody else that the party puts up because there is no true Christian conservative leader fighting for our principles. People are looking for a person who stands on principle and not party. Pence is best candidate who can unite the entire Reagan Wing (both the fiscal and social conservatives). We need to get behind this man or our country and party will continue to stray off course from true conservatives values and principles that our founding fathers had in mind when they signed the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
