40 million babies aborted and some up and jump righteous over this 1.
I mean, she is important to Jesus but this phony religion crowd needs to get over itself.
I didn't know it was about numbers...does God think only in high multiples?!

Don't you understand? LIFE in general is being viewed as disposable. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a baby or an adult like Terri. People aren't being "phony" at this large issue. You don't even have to be "religious" so see the obvious - taking of a life strictly for convenience = abortion or a more vulnerarble adult unable to speak for herself.

You know, I asked you the other day on another thread what issue you want us to focus on. You said that Terri's story was so distracting and even more lame than Michael Jackson. What is it you want us to look at? Why is life and death not an important issue to you?
We believe that Terri has been denied very valuable rehabilitation for which money was awarded a dozen years ago. Yet Michael has forbidden it. He even forbids the most basic of some routine care, like dental cleanings every six months and gynecological exams. There is proof of his neglect (Terri) which is against the law. Why don't you want the law to be enforced here?
You know, as in Live and Let Live?
VaBthang4, you should know that you are important to us, too, and if someone had beaten you to the point where you became disabled from the beating, and if you were being threatened with having your feeding tube removed so you could be slowly and painfully starved to death, and you were unable to speak for yourself, many of us, most of us, maybe all of us would be starting threads like these on your behalf. I would hope that no one would bop onto any of the threads telling us to get over ourselves.
It's not really about us, it's about someone who's helpless, someone literally being held prisoner by a malevolent person for reasons that are without honor. It's about saving a life that is conscious--disabled, but that does not mean it is a life without value.
Who is the "phony religious crowd" you are speaking of?
A single human life is but a flicker in the candle, a breath of death extinguishes the light; we must keep the flame intact.
Is your life precious to you? Then how can you judge someone else? This sets the precedence like Roe vs Wade set a precedence. That is why the hard fight. Many, many suspicious stuff about Michael Schiavo [Terri's mysterious broken bones -- her neck that seems to have been injured from something like strangulation]. Michael has banned medical tests and wants to cremate the body as soon as Terri is dead.
They are not a phony religion -- they would forgive you for your remarks, but still fight for Terri's life -- as well as stopping more babies being killed than the 40+ million in the US from abortion than already have.
If one can do something to stop people from being murdered, then they should.
Also, these folks have proven they have big political clout. John Kerry is licking his wounds because of this moral majority from the past elections.
So at what point between 1 and 40 million should we be outraged. Give us a number.
These thread are populated by supporters of Terri's. If you dislike the attention paid to her, maybe you should rethink your own attention.
Hey, have you two heard of that story about a good shepard that leaves the flock to save one sheep?
