"We know the people of America are far too stupid to run this country."
This is the only sentence that matters in Chris Davis' entire tirade. It is the essence of the "progressive" opinion of the masses. And it contradicts all of the claims of the Democratic Party regarding their inclusiveness and the attractiveness of their ideas which the people are unable to recognize.
Excellent biting satire. Had me goin' for a minute. BTTT.
Ya think?
Pretty funny, but what is funnier is how over the top they had to go to finally establish that this is big-time sarcasm.
I had to read almost 1/2 through before I realized it wasn't an everyday NYT or LAT editorial.
I would add, "We critcize President Bush for sending us to war for oil, but conveniently overlook the Oil-for-food scandal. We decry Bush for undermining the United Nations, but applaud President Clinton for using NATO in Kosovo.
Bush is a war criminal for invading the Sovereign Nation of Iraq and for occupying the nation even while the Iraqis elect their own leaders.
We hate Bush for putting 'the children' [highly trained American soldiers] in harms way in Iraq, and demand that Jenna and Barbara be drafted, but believe its perfectly ok for Chelsea Clinton to pull a Bill and dodge the draft.
We scare young people into thinking there will be a return of the draft while our own Democrat members of Congress draft the bill that would do just that..."

that's how i read it.
THIS IS SATIRE
in front of the article.
Methinks Chris Davis is a whiny little bedwetting pantywaist.
In other words.........a stereotypical liberal.
OK OK...........I admit it............hadn't finished reading the whole thing.
CLEARLY tongue-in-cheek.....and a scathing indictment of liberalism. I retract my previous, nasty comments about the author.
Well done.
I present the following evidence as Exhibit "A":
Our best and brightest are Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings and Eason Jordan.
Most definitely.
