My family has lost a lot of family heirlooms-nothing outrageously expensive, but a lot of stuff that retained sentimental value-during our frequent peregrinations throughout the borough.
I think we may have even had an original Salvador Dali lithograph, though I'm not sure if it was worth anything.
Cool. We sometimes read about things being sold on Ebay for surprising prices ... things that we got rid of during one of our numerous moves. Oh, well.
