We don't see eye to eye on pit bulls and SUVs, but you sure as hell are doing the right thing in running those Confederate types off the forum.

Oh yeah. THAT'S the problem with the world.
Not enough people on Free Republic who disagree with Bush's immigration policy.
I got banned from DU for saying Bush is a Nazi.

darn, I hit abuse instead of reply... sorry about that =o)
The polarization of the electorate from 2000 election onward has polarized FR into an us or them mentality upon which dissent is not tolerated lest the unity of whole is destroyed.
These people haven't seen the immigration threads recently??? Are they blind?? Did they miss the poll?? What are these people talking about??
This is little less than an organized attack by the isolationists who call themselves conservative. They fail to see the facts in front of their very faces.

I don't know what's more insulting, Jim, that he's accusing you of intolerance, or that he's accusing you of acting like the French. ;)

But then you realize that it is not so strange in the wake of articles from Lew Rockwell, Paul Craig Roberts, Justin Raimondo and now Scott McConnell at the American Conservative (The Hunger for Dictatorship, American Conservative Feb. 14, 2005)... Ironic. This bunch can't see the danger posed by Islamo-fascists, but see totalitarians where they don't exist.
I think that's known as being delusional...

Their "crime" is disagreeing with President Bush II's proposed amnesty plan for illegal immigrants who become "guest workers."Hey Sean, I don't agree with the proposed amnesty plan and I'm still here. I've even posted
gifs of my border solution (LOL), which Mr. Jim doesn't agree with.
His words, and I repeat them with some liberty, went something along the lines of "We don't want to have another Berlin Wall."
I've run afoul of several posters and have been given a time out and I'm sure I'm still upsetting
some posters, yet I'm still allowed to post...as long as I maintain a sense of decorum and don't go overboard.
Did you miss the recent poll, Sean, on the guest worker program? I believe send 'em back and let 'em reapply for entry won. Methinks thou doth protest too much.
(and the snideness at the end was pretty low. you know that controlling what one posts, no matter who they are, is almost impossible to control)

To: Jim Robinson
These folks seem to have trouble with the fact that "Freedom of Association" includes "Freedom not to Associate!" The idea that one can set up a club that has definite, written rules offends their need to "do their own thing."
It has often been observed that the political fringes wrap around and meet each other in terms of tactics. Right wing thugs, left wing thugs, who can tell the difference? Another thing they have in common is saying that the Constitutionalists want to limit freedom through intimidation! The psychologist call this "projection."
