John Raitt, the robust baritone who created the role of Billy Bigelow in the original New York production of "Carousel" and sang with Doris Day in the movie "Pajama Game," died Sunday, his manager said. He was 88.

Is Bonnie Raitt still married to Michael O'Keefe, a.k.a. "Noonan" in Caddyshack?

My favorite leading man of musicals. A rich voice, cheerful affect, handsome face and body.

There's been a rash: Ossie Davis, the gal I looked up to so much when I was a teen, Sandra Dee- only 62, now John Raitt .. a big bunch of notables. God rest their souls.

I was thinking about him when his daughter was singing on the Grammy's. He was one of my favorites of that era.

Yeah, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my Grandpa...
Not screaming and yelling, like the passengers in his car.

When did Sandra Dee die? I missed that one. We are the same age.

John Raitt's 1961 Columbia recording of "Showboat" with Barbara Cook is a classic. Wonderful.
Godspeed Mr. Raitt.
