Quotes from George Bush's secret audio tapes.

(political Gateway) - Feb 20 - Quotes from audio records by Doug Wead during 1998/2000 of George Bush candidly speaking about politics and himself.
Mr. Wead said he withheld many tapes of conversations that were repetitive or of a purely personal nature.

Editor's Note: These quotes are taken from the New York Times article. We are trying to get the full unbiased transcripts of them.

Exactly Dustbunny! I don't give a rat's rear if he smoked pea vines! I have no doubt if confronted, he would admit it and I believe he didn't say anything for the reasons he gave. My Lord, what lengths will the press go to in their never-ending quest to discredit this man???

So....from this I'm to gather that Bush smoked pot once or twice.....now feels that it was a mistake....and didn't want it to become an issue because he didn't want kids making the same mistake because "The President did it"?

Plus, the conversation is apparently not scripted for the public, so he probably meant it?

What's the problem?

Reuturs probably made it up.

Wead said he's keeping some of the material private, because it's too personal and could land him in legal trouble. He also said he made all of the recordings in states where it is legal to do so. -- abcnews.com.

What a pile of garbage. How are we supposed to know if these tapes are legit? They only use exerpts they want us to hear, and only use the NY Times "audio expert" (whatever that is) to authenticate. I can just see this 11th tape coming out just before his 2nd book where Bush "admits" to all kinds of preposterous things.

So what? I smoked it twice in college....

I tried it, didn't like it, I DID inhale(Klinton couldn't even do that right), and I never did it again.

Dan Rather highly recommends the expert!

I'm betting he inhaled, too. Not much point in smoking pot if you don't inhale, is there?

"drug laws that overcrowd our prisons with pot users."

Pot users don't go to prison. Sheesh!

Well, considering they have tried for years to convince us he was a former coke-head this actually should be a non-starter. Cocaine use out-trumps marijuana use in my book.

There was gentleman in California who was killed when his house was raided on "suspicion" of growing pot. It was discovered later that he was raided because it was hoped that his considerable property could be confiscated by law enforecement and he had just married a young lady who had once been arrested for having pot on her person.

He was killed by the officers conducting the raid because he was woken up and reached for a gun, a legally registered gun, thinking that his house was being broken into.

As it turned out, there was no pot being grown and there was none to be found.

What a bunch of crap. I read some of the tape transcript on FoxNews earlier today and I can't see what the big deal is.It's just another pathetic attempt to bring down W. Another example of how above-board and honest Bush is-and how desperate the MSM is to try and dig up any kind of garbage on him that they think they can use to their advantage.God,they are pathetic, aren't they? Sheesh! Give it up,already!!!

WAIT A SECOND! WAIT A SECOND! Doug Wead records Bush secretly and its juicy inside information.

Linda Tripp records Monica Lewinsky secretly because she wants Linda to commit a felony by lieing in front of a grand jury and shes a Judas scumbag.

I smell hypocracy

I'm curious about the legality of the tapes. If Dubya didn't know he was being taped, that may be a crime and the tapes evidence of that crime. The msm agencies that are running the tapes may be culpable. Remember Linda Tripp? I know that it varies from state to state.
Also remember that the Whitehouse didn't dispute the validity of dan blather's TANG documents.
