Anybody else think she looks a little like Joan Rivers in this pic?
Or do I need new bifocals again?
To: drt1
Very sad to hear of her passing at an early age. Those recent photos do look good, by the way, given her age and situation.
In terms of her birthdate, I tend to believe the earlier birthdate than any later birthdates for Hollywood actresses. I would bet that MSNBC might not be wrong. It's the Victoria Principal syndrome.

Sandra's real name was Alexandra and her granddaughter is Alexa. That must have meant a lot to her.

Well, in your defense, it is kind of blurry. :-)

She certainly was a beautful woman.
Did she ever remarry?

A worrisome event for those of us who are 63.

This is Sandra's 21st birthday party:

In that picture she looks like Shelley Long from Cheers.

If it makes you feel better to think that she deserved this then I certainly won't stand in your way, but she was one of the original Beach-Bikini-Bimbos that a guy would be happy to bring home to his mother's house; people die, you know and sometimes there isn't any need to question why.
I am the worst reprobate I know in my family and my wife's family and I just keep perking along like an old pot on the stove.
I never knew I was old until those clean-livers I grew up with started dying.

Sandra Dee
She died today, at the age of 62.
Field: Entertainment
Info: Starred in "Gidget", "A Summer Place", and other movies
To: MojoWire
You're thinking of 'The Nutty Professor' with Jerry Lewis and Stella Stevens.
Fred McMurray starred in 'The Absent-Minded Professor'.
In that movie he discovered a substance called "flubber".
To: Aliska
Real life is like those movies; exactly like them since we pattern our lives after that which we admire or detest.

Thanks for the info. I'm happy that she liked it, and I'm sorry that she died so young.
