The Vic sucks up gas like a basehead does crack, so my next ride will be something a little smaller. My fiances brother sold it to us for a grand, beats a monthly payment so I don't mind paying for the gas. Yeah I agree AWD and ABS are no substitute for good driving skills. AFAIK the Crown Vic and the Lincoln Town Car are basically identical expect for badging and the headlights. Pontiac Bonnevilles are nice too, rented one once, they haul big-time! Nicest car I ever drove was a friends Mitsubishi Eclipse. Sucker corners like a champ and it's not even the AWD model!
I agree, I got my Subaru from a friend, paid cash (insurance companies are like EX GFs, they want to get one last screw-and not in a good way in this case )After my accident (hence Laurel Curve), i bought the car from my friend cash and had to get only liabilty because i couldn't afford full coverage as my rates went thru the roof (litteraly too). Finally my insurance is slowly going down so eventually i'll be able to put full covrge back on. I'm thankful for no car payments though. My next car i'm hoping to pay cash again if i ever buy one, I'm tired of anykind of Payments.. i didn't know the Crwn Victoria and Twncar were the same. Hows your MPG ? Do you travel to san jose or you lucky with no commute?
