how funny. What does debating have to do with your arms?

Sounds like something Old Deano would say.

Dean is really embarrassing, he's like a kid stuck in perpetual adolescence. He's a combination of some kind of idealistic view and teenage rebellion.

Is it my imagination or has it become more common to find ultra-left-wing events or speakers on both C-SPAN channels at the same time than it used to be? They used to be more balanced.

Yes, the Pacific U. is very liberal. Do pigs have snouts?

So, not to care, it don't matter. the liberal U's are going to change for the better in the near future, methinks.

I just watched the debate between Howard Dean and Richard Perle and it reminded me of when the breckgirl John Edwards debated Dick Cheney. Howard dean talked in circles, had no clear solutions and clearly was outclassed by a man that is a master on defense issues. We heard the same thing from Howard Dean that we heard during the election....and that is "Bush is wrong", "Bush doesn't know what he is doing" and on and on and on. Howard Dean had no business even being on the same stage as Richard Perle. If you were to judge the debate by audience applause only, you would have thought that Dean won by landslide. But as we all know the panel was stacked with liberal professors, a liberal audience, at a liberal university in a liberal state. Richard Perle STILL handed Howard Dean his ass on a platter!

I"m watching an anti American round table on C-Span 2, and it's devolved into a FOXNews bash. It's all FOX's fault that Americans believes Bush's lies about Iraq.

Incredible....only too bad the RNC isn't up and running with talking points out in email, to expose these people, this organization, and Joseph Wilson!

When I turned it on Clare Short was speaking. Did you know that "so-called" terrorism is just violence by the powerless, implicitly less ojectionable than violence by the powerful (guess who)?

My T.V. needs a barf shield.

Because he got re-elected as governor of New Jersy?

The scary thing is that if this were the case he would have been an improvement on what did occur.

I'm so glad I stuck with this! Hot Damn!!! It's devolved into a whine fest. "Oh woe is us, what can we do to defeat FOXNews?"
Folks, we have nothing to fear from these name-calling wienies.

Joseph Wilson is such a putz! The others are blatant Bush haters...they simply can't stand that Bush won.

I"m enthralled with their lame discussion, how little of substance they have to impart. I fully expect them to end their agony with a group hug.

Perle was superb.

But did you catch it when he said the mistake in Iraq was not in going in but in carrying out an "occupation"...being an "occupying power", in which case the populace was bound to become disgruntled. I don't understand what Perle would have had us do. Have you heard anyone give a good alternative to our stay in Iraq, after we got there? I have not.

Note he didn't complain that we dismantled the Army or failed in reconstruction or keeping law and order, etc. He said we made a mistake by occupying Iraq, not by going in. Duh? What should we have done?

He meant (and I think he was wrong even in this) that we should have transfered sovereignty to Iraqis almost immediately. IOW we would have still been there in full force, but once sovereignty is transfered we are not officially an "occupying force" (although try to 'splain that to al Jazeera or your average lefty).

Since our troops had just toppled the government, there was no one to transfer sovereignty to. A new government had to be created, which is what has been happening for the past year and a half. By the end of this year, a constitution will be written, the new government will be solidified, the Iraqi security forces will be much stronger and numerous, several thousand more terrorists will be dead and the rest will be too demoralized to fight anymore. Then, we can start to leave.
Would it have been great if there had been no insurgency, and power could have been transferred within the first year? Yes. But, we had to play the hand we were dealt.

They did the same thing to Reagan - it was just to personally destroy his character.

But .. the public is fed up with it .. it's only the dems who don't seem to know that.

This panel was some time ago - a week or so - and I think the RNC has already responded. But if you feel that strongly, you should send them an email and express your concerns about their statements.
