Well... I doubt her sincerity as well, but we on the pro-war side have been asking the left to show a united front to the outside world even though we disagree on almost everything. Let's not look gift horses in mouths.
Uh, but this "gift horse" has a known forked tongue.
No.
I give praise only when it is genuine. If she gave a damn about a unified front she'd have read Kennedy the riot act before the Iraqi elections. The only reason she said this is because the elections went off well and she's decided it's safe to be "for" the war. If the the winds swift again she'll be right out there talking down our effort.
This is nothing more than sticking a finger in the air for the current of today. When a Dem actually is willing to show they are serious about putting this country first and brave the bad with the good, than I'll congratulate them. So far the only one currently in the Senate is Joe Leiberman.
"Let's not look gift horses in mouths."
I don't think this is the case of looking a gift horse in the mouth. More like looking a gift horse's patoot in the mouth. And in case you have forgotten what the definition of the mouth of a horse's patoot, consider the following:
mouth: n. pl. mouths (mouthz)
1. d. The opening to any cavity or canal in an organ or a bodily part.
