1a. Gained prominent use during 20th century in period 1940-1963, when said party platform rested its primary definition on the defense and expansion of freedom. Epitomized by such historical figures as Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman & John F. Kennedy.
2. No longer is use; replaced by new colloquialism: Dhimmi-cRats (pr: Dh-imhee-[K]-RAHTZ); modern-day combination of two terms, Dhimmitude(second class subjects subjugated under Medieval-era Islamic Sharia Law) and RATS - Function: noun Etymology: Middle English, from Old English ræt; akin to Old High German ratta rat and perhaps to Latin rodere to gnaw -- more at RODENT
1 a : any of numerous rodents (Rattus and related genera) differing from the related mice by considerably larger size and by structural details (as of the teeth) b : any of various similar rodents
2 : a contemptible person: as a : one who betrays or deserts friends or associates
