Christmas for Mosul Update!

Mailed earlier this week to our Stryker Brigade in Mosul:

From Abigail Adams (and Mr. Adams):
8 Nestle Hot Cocoa, 12 envelopes each
11 Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, 10 envelopes each
3 boxes full-sized, name-brand candy bars, 30 each
1 5lb bag Jolly Rancher candies
1 3lb bag Peanut M&Ms
5 bags mini-marshmallows
One Christmas CD (got free with groceries)
“A Christmas Story” DVD

From Abigail Adams on behalf of musicman:
1 box of 48 Snickers full-sized candy bars
6 boxes of 30 assorted full-sized, name-brand candy bars
4 boxes of multi-colored Christmas lights

In all, it added up to 12 boxes!

We have a new contact in Mosul, and I will be emailing him today with an update.

It looks like with everything we've sent so far, each soldier will get some hot chocolate and candy bars, as well as other yummy treats. And it looks like they'll have a good amount of decorations to spruce up their place, including two Christmas trees!

Our original contact there sent patriciaruth an email saying "...the Christmas trees will go to the other place we stay at. That place needs alot of work to brighten that place up, there's not much there, so as we rotate through there the items will be there for everybody to use."

Thanks for helping make the holidays a little more special for our Stryker soldiers in Mosul!!!
