Aurora Police Chief Ricky Bennett said Brents was allowed to leave after his confession because additional investigation was needed. "Our goal, again, is to achieve a successful prosecution here, not to make a quick and hasty arrest," Bennett said during a news conference Friday. Inexcusable! JUST DAMN!
I'll bet the subsequent victims would have settled for the "quick and hasty" arrest.

However I expect it'll be some time yet before they start arresting Baptists, at least in Colorado.

Thanks to their apparent incompetence 5 more women and girls were attacked. If true, it appears some heads need to roll at the Aurora Police Department because I have trouble believing they couldn't find something to hold him on with a confession in hand.
I'm guessing some lawsuits will appear shortly against the APD.
