One of the tricks that scientologists used to pull (maybe they still do) is to set up a phony 'acting school.' They take in starving young actors looking for a break. After a few months of acting classes they start encouraging pupils to read their scientologist materials and take sessions with the 'e-meter.' Soon after, the more gullible students are paying what little cash they have to the acting school for additional 'e-meter' sessions. I find it odd that these high profile actors either aren't aware of this exploitive practice or don't care. If they aren't aware or think it's not true they should wake up.
I don't find it odd. I just finished watching a DVD, and I watched the actor's interviews at the end. These actors are dumber than a box of rocks.
I heard a former scientologist explain that the upper income ones never see the seamy side of scientology, in which the lower strata of people are expected to work all the time and give all their money to the cult. She and her sister had joined in order to go to the so-called acting school. She escaped but her sister is too scared to leave.
I don't know WHAT's happened in NYC lately but suddenly the Scientologists are being allowed to set up in the subway and are giving out phony "stress tests."
Ping to a couple of folks who might be able to verify this. What's going on all of a sudden with these wackos?
