More money gone per CAFTA....(are you wondering why the USDA, the EPA, US Department of Commerce are in South America spending US taxpayer dollars on foreign country infrastructure?)

Better USAID spending money than US Marines spilling blood. How many more dozens of times do we want to intervene militarily in Central and South America? Note that the money is going to building economic infrastructure, the kind that will encourage and enable, for instance, greater influx of investment capital. Governments then have to protect that capital from fleeing their countries by business friendly practices, ensuring the rule of law, transparent accounting, and so on. It's the most effective inoculation against bad governance and thuggery, and the best way of limiting opportunities for regional rouges like Chavez and Castro.

Furthermore I'd a hell of alot rather have, as in this case, the United States decide where our foreign aid goes and what it's spent on than the United Nations. (They sure won't spend it on computerizing stock markets!)

Better USAID spending money

USAID, the US Treasury Dept., the EPA, the USDA, the DOC they are all spending money in these countries without any congressional oversight, or debate by the American people. Its a sweet deal because the globalists imbedded in USAID, the State Department, the US Treasury Dept., the EPA, the USDA, the DOC can give away TAXPAYER money with no hope of the US TAXPAYERS controlling them or limiting the their size, because they are expanding in size as we speak to accommodate every country we sign trade agreements with and they are all appointed,or hired, NOT ELECTED. Don't you see how bad this is for the idea that Americans are self governing and control their government through elected representatives? It completely and utterly destroys that philosophy. Don't you see how this is bad for the American people?

Now because of the Bolivarians in South America there is no guarantee there won't be war. They may start one in spite of the billions of dollars in the most gigantic transfer of wealth in the history of the world, out of America and into "least developed countries" through capacity building and infrastructure developments directed by "free trade" agreements.

When our own infrastructure is falling into decay, can you justify building up the foreign countries infrasturcture and not repairing our own? Because this is what is happening. And if you read the previous posts on this thread you will see that the environmental secretariat is an agency of the Organization of American States, which is a subsidiary of the United Nations. Furthermore, the structure of the OAS is based on the UN governmental structure so that it can act as a subsidiary to the UN, there is nothing free or resembling a Republic about it. The US is merely a "member state" of the OAS, not a "member nation", and to the lawyers out there, this is very significant language. Indeed, the directives the US has been getting about investing and capacity building in South America, has not come from the AMERICAN PEOPLE as it should but from the UN, and its subsidiary organizations, the WTO, the WORLD BANK, the OAS (Summit of the Americas) the IMF and the Inter-American Development Bank. ALL these organizations report to the UN! If you think the UN has no hand in this, you should read some of the threads posted on this site. Its quite an education. Or go to the UN site yourself. You'll see with your own eyes.
