That's one thing I have never experienced, is what a quake feels like, I'm never in the right place at the right time. (which is probably a good thing) Other than feeling real big bombs going off, The earth beneath my feet has been stable.

Strong quake rocks Indonesia
JAKARTA (Reuters) - A powerful earthquake has rocked eastern Indonesia's Sulawesi region, sparking panic in seaside communities, leading news radio station El Shinta reported.

It said the earthquake measured 6.9 on the Richter scale, large enough to cause casualties and damage, although there were no immediate reports of any deaths.

The tremor follows a massive earthquake off Indonesia's Sumatra island on December 26 that triggered huge tsunami waves that left widespread devastation and loss of life.
