Ford has a compact model in Europe and elsewhere which I honestly think some younger Americans would buy, the Ka. It sells in the UK for the equivalent of around $ 12,000 and is one helluva lot better looking than this Mercedes go kart.

I thought the Ka was pretty cool looking. Those and Seats usually filled the streets of Spain. Well along with all the scooters. I bet they would be a hit with the tuner market here if they built up a lot of aftermarket parts for it. Cheap entry price, lots of parts to hop it up...hmmm, must be why Civic hatchbacks do so well in that market.

I've had two of these. They're pretty good little cars and handle well in the city and on the highway, although they run out of steam around 80mph. You have a good amount of hauling room if you put the back seats down, as the whole rear end is the hatch in the back.
