Even more, the Iraqi Constitution states that 2/3 of the National Assembly must vote for the Prime Minister and President. That's 184 votes. The UAI only has 141 votes. Chalabi will be the compromise candidate.

Its really a transitional law. Still, the Shiites will need Kurdish support. So Chalabi will probably wind up as the compromise candidate for Prime Minister's Office. And Kurdish leader Jalal Talabani is set to become Iraq's first non-Arab President.
