I'm right hand, right thumb, too. At work, I'm an engineer (computer programmer). But I tend to be the one who comes up with the strange analogies and weird connections and out of box thinking. The straight linear thinking of some engineers seem flat to me.

I wonder if there's a connection between these.

I've already told TMinus4 that I'm right-handed with my left thumb on top, but when you mentioned that you (a right thumber) are the one who thinks up the weird stuff, I couldn't help but mention that I, too, can do a weird thing:

I can write both upside-down AND backwards (at the same time). I can print and write in cursive, especially my name. I can also write my name so that it LOOKS like it's right-side up, but I write it from an upside-down position. Only someone very familiar with my handwriting is able to tell the difference.

Freaks my kids out when I sign their homework without turning the page around to do it. "How can you DO that, Mom??!!"

I tell them I have no idea why I can do it, or how...but I'd love to know the answer.

Regards,

PS: I can wiggle my ears, too....anybody doing a science project on that?
