Schwarzenegger in Capitol (DC) pushes redistricting, asks for money

WASHINGTON - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger asked fellow Republicans for more money for California Thursday - even as he pushed a redistricting plan that could threaten their jobs.

After meeting with House Appropriations Committee Chairman Jerry Lewis, R-Redlands, Schwarzenegger claimed progress on federal funds for transportation, health care and incarcerating illegal immigrants who commit crimes.

Schwarzenegger most likely isn't going to get a cent back from DC of California's money, so he ought to go ahead and push with redistricting over the California Republican cowards like Dreier trying to dissuade him.

He just campaigned for a $6 billion bill for stem cell research in CA and won it. Let him campaign for a bill reversing it before asking for handouts.
