Well .. I've been on a few threads where I didn't recognize any of the posters and I was pounced on for every word I said - in gangland style.
It happens to everybody. I just make a note of their names and I NEVER RESPOND TO ANYTHING THEY SAY. Most of the time they just spew junk in order to make you explode - and then they sit back and watch as the explosion expands and more people come onto the thread and start badmouthing ideas or people, etc.
THIS ISN'T NEW - IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR AS LONG AS F R HAS BEEN HERE.
We cannot be so thin-skinned that we allow disruptors to manipulate us.

One of the unsavory aspects of internet forums is a tendency to say things to others that we would never say face to face with someone and expect the outcome to stay civil. If some of these verbal attacks had taken place face to face the result would be a black eye or worse. I know that
some of these hyperopinionated (t)wits wouldn't say some of the inflammmatory things they say if they had to get in someones face to do it.
Oh, the courage we can muster from our anonymity. I try to conduct myself on the internet just as I would if we were in the same room together.
