I can well believe it. Every hacker on the planet has been attacking Windows for years. By this time, they have a lot of the holes filled.
Every hacker on the planet has also been attacking Linux and BSD for years -- and they've had the source while doing it. By the "every hacker on the planet" logic, Linux and BSD should be much more secure than Windows.
