One of the primary reasons stated by President Bush for enacting a guest workers program is to get better control over who is crossing the border and to free up resources to combat terrorism that are now having to be diverted to regulate immigrant laborers.

What! They're not supposed to be worrying about this until 37 years into the war, or whenever they run out of driver's licenses. Whichever comes last. In the meantime strip the citizens of their right to defend themselve. (No guns.) Fo da chillins, doncha know?

New intelligence information strongly suggests that Al Qaeda has considered infiltrating the United States through the Mexican border, top government officials told Congress on Wednesday.

Nothing gets by these guys!

"Finding them [covert Al Qaeda operatives inside the United States] is the top priority for the F.B.I.

Pant Load Alert

Their priority is

1. protecting the bureau.
2. covering up and white washing muslim acts of terror.
3. not offending the saudi terror masters.
4. not offending terror front CAIR.
5. praying to the gods of political correctness.

Excuse me. I think this is ongoing and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who is not in a self-induced fog. There's even an acronym for these specific illegals which evades me at the moment.

For example, that AQ lady with a South African passport (with missing pages, etc, nice Opsec, eh?) awhile ago had only been across about 200+ or so times.

Any how, short of magic, will the 'guest' worker program do that? What makes you think the bad guys will sign up under than program?

"to get better control over who is crossing the border"

So, some animals are more equal than others?

Any third world illegal alien who crosses the borders should be arrested and deported back, and made to stay there.

Why will US companies, who are currently breaking the law and avoiding taxes, suddenly switch to using the more expensive 'guest' worker labor?

Wow, has there ever been a greater example of a Free Republic Open Borders Lobby (FROBL) at work??:

Thank you Bayourod.
