Yeah, but, Rush didn't do it to promote himself. He did it in response to several attacks here.. Hannity clearly pulled a Lucianne Goldberg to feather his own nest. What a putz!

Little difference in my opinion. Why should Shawn not promote his website based on what he thinks is a valid criticism of FreeRepublic...or is that being politically incorrect?

IMO, there ARE kooks at FreeRepublic, but probably no more than anywhere else in cyberspace. Most FReepers seem to be reasonable, rational, and downright good folks, and I do enjoy reading the articles and responses to them. But if we are to be honest, we do have our share of extremists.

Nobody is disputing that there are kooks on FR. It is the nature of the internet. Go to any forum or blog or what have you, and there will always be at least one insipid comment or poster. To find the kooks, you have to know exactly where they hang out at here. Nine times out of 10, it's always the same topical threads.

What is laughable is the manner in which Hannity blasts away at FR. Firstly he charges that everyone who is still posting here is a fringer, then says they eat their own, and engage in a childish manner.

The way Hannity read it on the air, sounded like the dumbest ZOT FR Opus I had ever heard. Hannity is a damn hypocrite, pure and simple.
