>> What it really cost Hannity? He lost some Respect from Free Republic, and possibly some viewers. <<

I agree. I would add that in the year or so that I had been "lurking" and then the 6 months since I've become a member, I've seen a lot of folks 'go south' on Sean, without this sort of comment.

I'd say that this will push many of us away from caring at all what he says. That has to cost him viewers, buyers of his books, etc

Haven't you seen this happen before to TV Celebrities and talking heads you like. Originally , they have a show you like and they have good points to express, but eventually they have to keep topping themselves to keep their ratings up and they begin to seem a bit flaky and less sincere, or a bit obessed.

Yes, I have seen this. I soured on Sean after his first book... he got just too shrill and cheeky. I despise the way he talks over guests, of either side of the isle. But to dump on FreeRepublic is a pretty stupid thing, really dumb. What can he gain from it?

He thought he'd get folks onto his site??? He's a wanna be. He dreamt of his site being as a busy as FR. It would have to be as interesting and full of insight as FR. No chance.
