Actually Rush seemed to be worried about competition from bloggers too, in his latest piece.
They really should understand that we are not competitors. We do something completely different, and we often give them free publicity.
I liked Hannity when I listened to him. And I liked Rush when I listened to him. I don't listen to either now because my commute is different. But Sean seemed like a decent guy, and Rush has been critically important for the conservative cause.
could it be that Talk Radio is on the verge of being concidered the Traditional media and that the internet bloggers are the ones that are moving the "political football?"
You see, my radio has an 'ignore Hannity' button, several in fact, and each time you pollute the airwaves with the likes of Lanny Davis, I press that button. Unfortunately for you, another station in town provides conservative alternatives in your time slot and I found pushing the return button happening less and less until now, not at all.
So go on pimping your books, teasing your one meaningful segment for 2 1/2 hours of your show, and giving tired old libs a brief stand on your soapbox. I'll gladly take a ping when Ollie North is guest hosting. Otherwise, count me out.
If Free Republic would only add an "ignore user" feature for the handful of idiots we must suffer, it would be nirvana. Ciao, baby.
