I detest corrupt officials. The penalties for govt officials who break law should be double that it is for everyone else.

Instead of double, it's usually a one hundredth. A New Mexico judge is DWI and wrecks a state-owned vehicle, and gets treatment and two days in jail. The murderers at Waco and Ruby Ridge got promotions if they got anything at all.
