We need to start planning NOW for 06'.
We need to make it a priority to get 60 Senators in 06'.
There have been many threads on this issue, and I will try to link to them.

Minnesota (Dayton-D) - Sen. Dayton has announced that he will retire at the end of his term.
West Virginia (Byrd-D) - Born Nov. 20, 1917, Byrd will be almost 89 years old on election day in 2006 and may retire.
Great minds..
Yeah, apparently mine is 4 seconds slower than yours though! =P
BTTT!!!!!!!
Dear davidosborne,
It isn't likely that Mr. Sarbanes (POS - MD) can be defeated.

Please, I haven't even planned what I'm making for dinner tonight.
Good! You've got twice as long to conspire work on it! =P
* A New Contract For America
* Increase defense, reduce all other spending
* Tell the hard truth about Social Security (and ideally, come up with the winning plan to phase it out over the next 40 years)
* Borders, language, culture
* Remove the yoke from American business and foment domestic investment
* Walk away from naive, utopian, early 1990s globalist fantasies and insist on focussing on free, pro US countries - Thomas L. Friedman and Francis Fukuyama were wrong.
What good does 60 do if among them are Chaffee, Snowe, Collins, Specter and Voinovich? We need at least 65 because of them.
UPDATES (2/11) - MN: Sen. Dayton announced his retirement on Feb. 9. Talk show host Al Franken said he would not seek the seat. TN: Added potential Republican candidates Bryant and Corker.
Bump!
